About Us
Who we are
Created out of a passion to reconnect children and adults alike, Wild in the Woods aims to deliver enriching, engaging sessions that reconnect people back to their roots in nature.
Did you know that prison inmates spend more time outdoors than the average UK child? And only 22% of children can recognise a badger. It is also a fact that mental health illnesses in children and young people (as well as adults) is on the rise. Shocking statistics such as these reflect that a significant number of children do not have regular opportunities to experience, explore, engage in, or understand the wonderful natural world around us.
Wild in the Woods aims to provide a space and time for children to be wild and free in nature. By being able to offer this, we hope to nurture children’s curiosities and a love of the great outdoors which (who knows?) may inspire them to be the David Attenborough or Megan McCubbin of our future!
